ABOUT
Rhianne Weghnnar has been involved with horses her whole life, with a passion that intensified when she was as an avid member of both the Pony Club and 4H.  Her strong interest in natural horsemanship and alternative therapies began when she witnessed horses and riders, with immense amounts of pain and frustration, trying to achieve success in their careers using invariable methods of training.

Rhianne continually learns from the endless lessons horses offer as she explores the relationships between horses and humans. Through services at The Smiling Pony, Rhianne strongly believes in educating people about the highest good of the horse with the focus on learning with a blended framework of equine kinetics, holistic modalities and equine guided wisdom.

WHO IS RHIANNE?
A horsewoman since childhood Rhianne’s experience has ranged from Pony Club involvement to the show ring and spanned disciplines from Western Pleasure and Dressage to gymkhana to jumping. She has studied TTEAM, TTouch, Connected Riding and Inspired Horsemanship from top clinicians, Robyn Hood, Sue Falkner-March and Liz Mitten Ryan. In addition, she is proficient in Equine Kinetics for equine sports therapies and equine alternative wellness.

Rhianne has experience in equine-rehabilitation, working with horses from a variety of disciplines and at different career levels.  Recently she has focused on rehabilitating equine athletes and rescues and teaching equestrians to apply thoughtful, integrative, alternative methods into their regular routine to greatly improve balance and the quality of their relationship with the horse.  She teaches a variety of innovative workshops and offers lessons at several locations around Alberta.

Rhianne’s prime philosophy of working with horses and equestrians is based on the foundation that every horse and every person should feel better after a lesson or training session.  She shares the gift of Equestrian Arts with people and their animal companions that their lives may be happier, more peaceful and more balanced.
